Mobilisation for the War on Corruption

Common Cause issued an appeal to seek the support and cooperation of the common people in the campaign for enactment of the Lokpal Bill drafted by civil society under the aegis of India Against Corruption (IAA).

Following up on the outpouring of popular support for this initiative, memoranda were addressed to the Prime Minister, Chairperson of UPA and leaders of political parties to enlist the support for the Lokpal Bill.

The core team of India Against Corruption has been meeting prominent leaders of the government and political parties of all hues to apprise them of the essential features of the civil society formulation, as well as the inadequacies of the official bill, which has not been placed in public domain for discussion.
